The Acer Predator Helios 300 is known to be one of the best ‘value for money’ gaming laptops out there but what makes it special? Lets take a look
Power
In terms of power there is nothing more you could ask for at this price as the Acer Predator Helios 300 comes with an Intel Core i7-7700HQ processor, 16GB DDR4 and a powerful GeForce GTX 1060 6GB graphics card which is unheard of at this price point.
Value for money
From a price to performance angle the Acer Predator Helios 300 beats the other laptops in its class as it is one of the only laptops that carries a GTX 1060 at this price point. For Acer to pack this much power in the laptop for this price there had to be some sacrifices. These sacrifices came with its cooling system and its display
Look and Feel
The back of the display and the palm-rest has a brushed aluminium finish giving the laptop a high quality feel and its strong and little flex chassis adds to this as well. The laptop has a gamey look but its not over the top as there are red stripes on the back.

Display
The display is where the laptop falls short if you are into video and photo-editing as the it has poor maximum brightness, its maximum Delta E values averages about 5.67 and you only cover a little over 67% of the SRGB color space
Upgrades
This laptop can also use an upgrade in the storage department as the 256 GB SSD while fast will run out of space pretty quickly. This means that a HDD like the Seagate will have to be added before you run out. There is no need to upgrade the RAM any time soon is 16 GB is sufficient for all games and programs and or multitasking.
